At TruSelf, your privacy matters as much as your wellbeing. We are a person-centred wellness practice based in Edinburgh, offering psychotherapy, personal training, clinical nutrition and longevity programmes. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use and protect it, and your rights under UK data protection law (the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018). It applies to our website, truself.health, and the services we provide. TruSelf is the data controller responsible for your personal information.
Information We Collect
Information you give us: your name, email, phone number, and details you share when you enquire, book a programme, sign up to our newsletter or contact us.
Health and wellbeing information: because our programmes include psychotherapy, training, nutrition and clinical testing, we may collect health-related details such as medical history, blood-test results, lifestyle information and goals. Under UK GDPR this is special category data, which we treat with the highest level of care.

To provide, deliver and personalise your programme and the services you request.
To communicate with you about bookings, appointments and changes to our services.
To provide care, support and follow-up throughout your programme.
To send updates or newsletters where you have asked us to.
To improve our services, website and the experience we offer.

Our Lawful Bases
We only use your personal information where the law allows: your consent (for example, marketing emails); the performance of our contract with you (to deliver your programme); our legitimate interests (to run and improve TruSelf); and our legal obligations. Where we handle health or other special category information, we do so only with your explicit consent or another lawful condition under UK GDPR.
Sharing Your Information
We never sell, rent or trade your personal information. We share it only where necessary: with the qualified practitioners delivering your programme; with trusted service providers (booking, payment and IT) acting on our instructions; and where required by law. Every third party we work with is bound to keep your information secure and use it only as we specify.
How Long We Keep Your Information
We keep your personal information only for as long as necessary to provide our services and to meet our legal and regulatory obligations. Health records are retained in line with professional and clinical guidance. When information is no longer needed, we securely delete or anonymise it.
Your Rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to access your information; to have it corrected or erased; to restrict or object to how we use it; to request portability; and to withdraw consent at any time.
