WITHIN ONE WORKING DAY

A personal reply

Sam or the team reads what you wrote and replies personally by email. No ticket number, no triage bot. If you leave a number, we may ask when suits a call.

THE FIRST CONVERSATION

The discovery call

About fifteen minutes, free, and genuinely exploratory: what you want to change, what you’ve tried, and which path fits, if any does. No card details anywhere near it.

ONLY IF IT FITS

The plan, proposed

A written outline of the programme we’d suggest and exactly what it includes. You take whatever time you need with it.

WEEK ONE

The full picture

Your initial consult in Edinburgh: history, vitals and, in Totality, the first blood draw. The work starts by understanding.

And if we’re not the right fit, we’ll say so on the call and point you somewhere better suited, including your GP where that is the right answer. A smaller practice can afford that policy; it’s why we keep it.

Not ready to enquire?

Questions, answered.

A small named team, not a rotating roster: your psychotherapist, the nursing lead for clinical testing and, depending on programme, nutrition and movement specialists. The people who lead your programme are on our story page; your named team is confirmed in your written proposal. Your results and your plan are shared across your team. What you say in therapy is not, unless you ask.

Clinician time, mostly, which is what changes outcomes. The fee covers your named team’s sessions, the included clinical testing with nurse-led review, and the design and adjustment of the programme between sessions. There is nothing app-shaped in it; you are paying for people whose qualifications you can check.

Say so: the mid-programme review exists for exactly this. The plain answer is that the work is sometimes uncomfortable before it is useful, and your team will tell you plainly which of the two they think is happening.

Then you do not pay for the programme. At the start we agree your goals in writing, with the measures we will use. If you keep to the programme and those goals have not been met by the end of it, your fee is refunded in full. The full terms are in our Terms and Conditions.

Yes, and we’d rather you did. The ‘Unsure? Talk first’ route books a conversation with the team, not a salesperson. No obligation, and if we think TruSelf is the wrong tool for what you’re carrying, we’ll say so and point you somewhere better.

For now, yes: programmes run in person in Edinburgh. A fully online programme, for anyone in the UK, is in development, and the online add-ons already run from anywhere.

Programmes are billed upfront rather than in instalments: one payment, agreed before you begin, that covers the whole programme. All prices include VAT, and you have 14 days from agreeing to change your mind.

We tell you clearly, quickly, and with a plan. Anything flagged goes to your own GP, with your consent, alongside a written summary from your nurse so the right NHS or private care can follow. Finding things early is the point of testing. That pathway is part of the service.

No. TruSelf provides psychotherapy, clinical testing with appropriate oversight, and structured health programmes. It does not diagnose or treat medical or psychiatric illness, and it is not an emergency service. If you need help now, call Samaritans free on 116 123, any time, or phone NHS 24 on 111 and choose the mental health option. If life is at risk, call 999.

Yes, within the standard limits every ethical therapist works to: what you say stays in the room unless there is a serious risk of harm to you or someone else, or a legal requirement to disclose. Your therapist explains these limits in plain language in the first session, before you’ve shared anything.

No. Please don’t change any treatment because of anything you read here without talking to your prescriber first. TruSelf works alongside your existing care, not instead of it; where our testing produces something your GP should see, we help you take it to them.

We publish client outcomes only with permission and only when they are real, and as a young practice we would rather show you nothing than show you something manufactured. What we can show now: the exact structure of the work, who delivers it, and the numbers your own programme would measure.
