SAM · FOUNDER
Sam
Founder, CEO
I come from a line of psychotherapists, and this work grew into me long before I chose it. I’m a person-centred practitioner, MBACP accredited, with over 1,000 hours of client work. Before the therapy room I studied sound engineering in Houston and ran businesses in music and brewing, and the instinct never changed: find something that matters and build it properly. My own battles with mental health and addiction showed me what the right support feels like, and how hard it is to find. I have never been able to treat mind and body as separate problems, so TruSelf treats them together. It’s the thing I wish had existed when I needed it most.
Kirsty
Clinical Director
I’m a Registered Nurse with over fifteen years in the NHS, most of it spent assessing people and making clinical decisions under pressure. I’ve seen at first hand the long-term cost of preventable illness, which is why I want people to understand their health and take the steps that protect it. At TruSelf I run the clinical side: the assessments, the blood testing and the results conversations, so you can see where your health stands and act on evidence instead of guesswork. I’m also a mum of four, so I know what a full life does to your own health. Every consultation is tailored, honest and built on empathy and trust, with time to feel listened to and understood, so you leave reassured and in charge of your health.
Jonny
Personal Trainer
I’ve coached for seventeen years, from premium health clubs to independent gyms, and before that I fought professionally and competed as a bodybuilder. Both taught me the same thing: the body follows the mind. I’m a Level 3 personal trainer, and I build every programme around the person in front of me, whether the goal is fat loss, strength, health or a competition. You get proven methods, honest accountability and enough understanding to keep going without me. The aim is habits that outlast our time together, in the gym and out of it.
